From Paris 2024 and Cairo 2025 to Los Angeles 2028
Egypt’s strategic preparation roadmap for the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games (LA28) launched immediately following the Paris 2024 Games and Egypt’s historic hosting of the Cairo 2025 World Para Powerlifting Championships in the New Administrative Capital with over 70 participating nations.
Supervised by the EPC Board of Directors led by Dr Hossam El-Din Mostafa in coordination with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and national federations, the roadmap focuses on four core pillars:
- Early High-Performance & Qualification Pathways: Securing participation in all mandatory international qualification tournaments across 2025, 2026 and 2027.
- Next Gen Talent Identification: Expanding grassroots scouting across Egyptian governorates to build a deep pipeline of young Para athletes for LA28 and beyond.
- Sports Science & International Classification: Strengthening medical, nutritional, psychological and classification support for national teams.
- Commercial Partnerships & Athlete Sponsorships: Connecting corporate sponsors directly with Olympic-calibre Para champions.
